Also known as Aunt Wan, a middle-aged widow whose husband (Old Wan) died at the construction site. She has three children and elderly parents-in-law over eighty years old. Her family of six lives in two cramped rooms with poor financial situation. She was initially given only five hundred yuan to keep quiet. She agrees to protest and brings her family to the police station, eventually helping secure three thousand yuan in additional compensation.
