Yi Yao's father and the father of the Yao family. He favored Yi Xuezhen over his biological son Yi Yao, believing boys should go through more trials while girls should enjoy life. This caused resentment between him and Yi Yao. He pushed for the annulment of Yi Xuezhen's adoption. He has since passed away.
