Old Master Mu is the grandfather of Mu Yunzhe and a male character who commissioned Taoist priests from Baiyun Temple in the capital to rescue his son and daughter-in-law who are trapped in Mengjiang Village. He is described as having found the four Taoist priests and sent them on this dangerous mission. His identity as a renowned figure is recognized by the old Taoist priest who addresses him with respect.
