Old Lai
A village troublemaker in his thirties who is still unmarried. He is a perennial bachelor who wanders streets leering at village girls and married women. He has been beaten up multiple times but never changes. Jiang Le remembers from the original book that Old Lai will soon drown in the river, which is considered a fitting end due to his vile actions, including nearly dragging a girl into the woods.
