An official who handled the interrogation and execution of Gu Zhenguan. He repeatedly questioned Gu in the dungeon, tortured him with a red-hot iron disk, and personally oversaw his strangulation. He taunted Gu before and after death, telling him to know his place. After Gu's death, he immediately knelt upon seeing the emperor's imperial yellow outside the cell.
