Also known as the old lady or Grandma Miao, she is the grandmother of Gu Qingchuan and head of the main Gu household. She is nearly blind and once was the daughter of a wealthy landlord in Jin. She lost three sons and two grandsons to early death. She hid most of her family's treasures before they were confiscated and refuses to reveal their location to Dong Hua despite persistent pressure.
