Yu Zhao's deceased husband, a member of the Meng family in Youzhou. He left behind only a jade pendant as his sole keepsake for Yu Zhao. The Meng family drove Yu Zhao out after his death, destroying and burning all items related to him except for the pendant she managed to save. He is referenced throughout as the emotional anchor of Yu Zhao's past.
