An unnamed man who appears at the beginning of Chapter 1, covered in blood and trembling on a rainy night. He places a food delivery order on a platform with extremely poor signal, hoping to divert a fierce ghost's attention by becoming a delivery rider. He witnesses the emergence of the slender ghostly shadow from black fog and, overcome with fear, runs toward Huangquan Community, which is filled with resentful spirits. He is killed, and his resentful spirit clings to his phone, repeating the behavior of finding a substitute every midnight. His death sets off the chain of events that leads to Yu Qing receiving the mysterious order.
