Also referred to as Shizhu's mother, she is the wife of Stonemason Zhao. She was drying sweet potato vines in her yard. She agreed to trade sweet potato vines for white rice with Gu Qiaoqiao at a rate of ten jin of vines for one jin of rice. She helped gather vines from other families and brought them to Gu Qiaoqiao's yard. She was happy with the trade and headed home in high spirits.
