Lu Qi Huai is the eldest son of the Duke's house, born to a concubine. He was raised outside the mansion for many years and initially appears timid, awkward, and restrained when interacting with Shen Wei. During their dinner, he shows subtle signs of hunger and behaves submissively. However, this timid demeanor is revealed to be a careful facade. Once he leaves Shen Wei's quarters and is alone under the snow-covered night sky, his true nature emerges: his steps become steady, his posture upright, and his handsome face turns cold and calculating. He no longer looks like the shy person from earlier. He possesses inherent nobility in his movements that cannot be concealed despite his efforts to mask it. He carries a jade pendant which he rubs thoughtfully. In the original story, he chose Lü Fu as his maid and was later implicated in an affair with her during his mourning period, which resulted in severe punishment. He currently resides in Wenyuan Hall in the outer courtyard.
