Lu Daqiang is Jiang Nuan's husband and the primary antagonist of the story. He works as a team leader at the meat processing factory, a position he worked hard to obtain. He is having a secret affair with his stepsister Lu Rou, and they have a bastard son named Lu Jie. He is cruel and calculating, having framed his brother Lu Lin for theft and poisoning. He switched Jiang Nuan's medicine to fattening drugs to make her gain weight, and orchestrated the loss of her twins by feeding her abortion medicine. In the previous life, he brutally beat Jiang Nuan to near death and ultimately killed her with Lu Rou's help, kicking her knife wound after she bled out. After his betrayal is exposed in the rebirth timeline when Jiang Nuan reveals Lu Jie is their illegitimate child, he is left pale and terrified.
