Li Cuizhen is Jiang Nuan's mother. She is cruel and unsympathetic towards her daughter, sneering at her weight and telling her she only gets beaten because she did not serve her husband well. She calls Jiang Nuan rude and says no man would want her if Da Qiang did not. In the rebirth timeline, she tearfully pleads with Jiang Nuan to kneel and apologize to Daqiang, her mother-in-law, and sister-in-law, claiming they are good people who will not hold a grudge. She rushes to help her husband Jiang Jianguo after Jiang Nuan hits him with the stick, screaming in distress.
