A young man in his twenties who runs an oil shop across the street from the Zhan family bun shop. He greets Zhan Jianxing politely in the mornings and is married to Little Chen's Wife. He buys buns from the shop and helps his wife bar their doors when the Prince of Dai's procession approaches. He provides information to Xu Shi about the identity of the threatening group.
