A fortune-telling Daoist priest who came to the village one year. He was incredibly accurate at fortune-telling no matter whose house he visited. He told Bai Muban and Mrs. Zhen that they would be blessed with a daughter gathered from the essence of heaven and earth, a person of nobility beyond words. He specifically took ten copper coins from Bai Muban for this reading, saying that once the family obtained a daughter, their wealth and honor would stretch on continuously. He later vanished before Bai Muban could demand his money back after Mrs. Zhen's miscarriage.
