Female antagonist, Zhang Gousheng's mother and Ji Chunhua's wicked mother-in-law. She is described as sharp-tongued, mean-spirited, with high cheekbones, sharp triangular eyes, and thick lips. Her husband passed away early and she raised Zhang Gousheng alone. She encourages her son to abuse Ji Chunhua and believes married daughters belong to their husband's families. She wails dramatically when beaten and tries to incite the villagers against Hu Zhaodi's group.
