He has been struggling with intense, unacknowledged romantic feelings for Go Tae-seong, experiencing jealousy and obsession. At fifteen, he finally accepted that he likes Go Tae-seong romantically, though he decided it was impossible due to both being male. He wakes up early to study alone, arrives at school an hour before class, and walks to school with Go Tae-seong every morning despite feeling uncomfortable about their class difference.
