The second male lead, Jiang Tang's adopted older brother. He was taken from an orphanage after Jiang's parents struggled to conceive. He sent concerned messages to Jiang Rao about her going abroad and called her repeatedly on the train. His feelings for Jiang Tang go beyond sibling affection, though he is not yet fully aware of this. He is described as having a magnetic voice. He is not as obsessively attached as the male lead. In the later part of the novel, he paid off Mother Jiang's gambling debts and grew his startup into an industry leader.
