The head attendant at the Hotel Cosmopolitan (also called World Hotel) and Maggie's brother. He conspired with the Countess's maid Cusack to steal a gemstone, planning to hide it in a goose sent as an Easter present. When the gem accidentally fell into a goose pen, another goose ate it. He fled in panic after overhearing Holmes's discussion, leading to a chase through London's alleys. He is short, moves silently, and is terrified of prison shaming his relatives.
