A strange creature with human-like facial features but beast characteristics including vertical pupils. It has dark wrinkled skin covered in mud, with only a piece of animal hide covering its groin. It crawls on the ground with large palms and runs extremely fast on all fours. Iru steals red prairie birds and lives in a cave in the forest. It reminds Lai Yi of Gollum from The Lord of the Rings. After the chase, Iru took a long detour, picked mushrooms, caught insects, and washed off the mud before returning to its cave.
