Also known as Han Shan. He is a thirty-five-year-old scarlet one-rank military officer who married Zhao Wan. He has a dignified face with a square jaw and thin lips, carrying an imposing aura. He witnessed the fire years ago where he claims to have seen a child's body. He is usually composed but shows anguish when recalling past events. He comforts Zhao Wan but firmly tells her the child did not survive.
