Male character, Han Yuchen's father. Son of Han Shuo, born when his mother was thirty-six after several miscarriages and infant deaths. He never met his father's expectations despite harsh training. His wife (Han Yuchen's mother) suffered postpartum depression and leapt from a building when Han Yuchen was ten. Han Shuo discovered his wife's affair with Auntie Xue at the funeral.
