Er Gouzi's Mother, also referred to as Gouzi's Mother, is the mother of the bully Er Gouzi and the wife of Zhao Shifang. She is a loud, aggressive woman who fiercely defends her son. When Jiang Youmei beats Er Gouzi, she lunges at Jiang Youmei and later throws herself on top of her son to protect him from the punishing men. She causes a scene at the village gathering, accusing the villagers of being bribed by Jiang Youmei and making vulgar remarks about the men's intentions.
