Ellie is Evelyn's younger sister, a little princess who lies unconscious in a canopy bed throughout most of the scene. She suffers from a severely unstable mental sea following a past accident, with her spiritual sea described as a crescent-shaped island with violently churning seawater and massive waves. Her physical condition is dire — she is very thin with pale lips, a sickly appearance, and a hand that is practically skin and bones with clearly visible veins on the back. She requires constant injection of high-strength tranquilizers and stabilizers to manage her condition, but even so her state keeps deteriorating. In recent months, she cannot stay conscious for long without the threat of a spiritual storm. After Yu Bai's purification song, her spiritual sea stabilizes significantly, with the polluted area almost completely purified. Evelyn perceives this as nothing short of a miracle. Ellie is mostly passive in the narrative, serving as the motivation for Evelyn's dealings with Yu Bai and Fu Linyuan.
