She is manipulative and abusive toward Jiang Tiantian. She publicly performed as a heartbroken mother while secretly being complicit in the scheme. She attacked Jiang Tiantian after seeing Jiang Hongmei slapped, but Jiang Tiantian used Jiang Hongmei as a shield, causing Du Yulan to exhaust herself.
