The village leader (Village Chief) of the group. He is the great-grandson of the ninety-year-old great-grandmother. He carries enormous pressure from leading the escape and has questioned whether his decision was correct as people starve. He is exhausted but maintains a clear mind and tries to motivate the villagers to keep going for the sake of their families.
