The grandmother, Ding Gui's mother. She is selfish, greedy, and abusive toward her youngest son's family. She constantly demands food and tries to control the rabbit distribution. Her skin is dry and shriveled like old bark. She eventually backs down when threatened with being left behind during the famine.
