Chu Xiangyue is the eldest sister-in-law of Xiao Jinghe and the widow of his elder brother Xiao Jichu. She now manages the Xiao household as the eldest daughter-in-law and teaches the children martial arts in her spare time. In the current timeline, she is seen in the courtyard wielding a long spear while drilling her children along with her nephews and nieces. When Xiao Jinghe returns and points a sword at Xin Long, Chu Xiangyue immediately spreads her arms protectively in front of the children, staring warily at her younger brother-in-law. She is confused and alarmed by the sudden tension, as Xiao Jinghe has always been gentle and courteous.
