Also known as Commissar Chen, husband of Li Jing. He saved Li Jing from drowning in a river during a business trip, which led to Li Jing's parents making a scene and forcing him into marriage. He originally had a childhood sweetheart with whom he was discussing marriage, but that relationship was ruined. He is described as neither warm nor cold toward Li Jing, avoids coming home, and spends all day at his office.
