Grand Tutor of Prince Wu and father of Chen Danzhu, Chen Danyan, and Chen Danyang. He was executed by Prince Wu after his eldest daughter stole his seal and gave it to Li Liang. His entire clan of one hundred and thirty souls was annihilated—locked in their estate, hacked apart, and burned. His body was later stolen by loyal retainers and buried by Chen Danzhu on Tao Mountain.
