The fourth junior brother, a fellow disciple of Jinshu under the same master. He has no role in the original story and has spent years in seclusion at Rear Mountain. He is pale, handsome, ethereal, and carries a heavy air of illness. His voice is clear and bright. He is kind, gentle, and somewhat lonely because the people he wants to talk to do not particularly like him. He feeds a tortoiseshell cat that prefers vegetable leaves over meat. He rescued Jinshu when she fell into the lake.
