The Little Senior Sister Has Knight Syndrome

Ji Jinshu, a sickly young woman from modern times, dies in a hospital bed and transmigrates into the body of a girl with the same name who is a disciple of the Tianxuan Sect, the foremost cultivation sect in the world. She quickly realizes she has entered the pages of a male-oriented web novel titled "The Sword God Chronicles," a story she had read but never finished. In this novel, the original Ji Jinshu served as a cannon fodder antagonist—a wealthy, talented, but arrogant and foolish young woman who became the number one obstacle for the male protagonist, Li Xingdao. The original host had just sent a humiliating letter of annulment to Li Xingdao, exposing him as a useless good-for-nothing fiancé, a plot point that typically leads to her public defeat and severe punishment. Horrified by this impending fate, Jinshu resolves to change her destiny and avoid becoming a stepping stone for the protagonist’s rise to power.

Jinshu drags along her senior brother, Bu Quegan, a seemingly aloof and elegant medicine cultivator who is actually the sect leader’s personal disciple, to intercept the annulment letter. They discover that Li Xingdao has already received the letter and left for the sect to challenge her. Upon returning to the Tianxuan Sect, Jinshu is summoned to the training grounds where Elder Xuanqing Zhenren, her master, awaits with Li Xingdao. Instead of stubbornly arguing as the original host would have, Jinshu apologizes sincerely for her past impulsiveness. During the ensuing duel, her Spiritual Artifact, Banyu, unexpectedly recognizes her as its master, transforming from a mere bracelet into a powerful sword. With this newfound advantage, Jinshu defeats Li Xingdao, though she attributes her victory to the artifact’s sudden awakening rather than her own skill. As punishment for her earlier arrogance, she is sentenced to one week of confinement in the desolate Rear Mountain.

While in confinement, Jinshu encounters Chen Fuzhou, a quiet junior brother who has spent years in seclusion due to poor health. He rescues her after she falls into a lake while chasing a tortoiseshell cat, and the two form an immediate, friendly rapport. Jinshu, feeling guilty about having stolen the original host’s life and belongings, finds solace in Chen Fuzhou’s comforting words. Meanwhile, Bu Quegan’s secret is revealed when Jinshu catches him impersonating a woman on a communication stone to swindle money from a wealthy young master. Rather than exposing him, she blackmails him into accompanying her, and they eventually form a trio that includes the eccentric Senior Sister Yan Lin, who loves sparring with musical instruments as weapons. The group visits Li Xingdao, who is revealed to be deeply devoted to his sword and reclusive, highlighting the stark contrast between the original novel’s portrayal and the complex reality of the characters.

A mysterious old man named Fei appears in the Rear Mountain, claiming to be an ordinary retiree with no spiritual power, yet he displays intimate knowledge of the sect’s inner workings. Chen Fuzhou is suspicious of him, sensing a hidden depth beneath the old man’s harmless exterior. As Jinshu navigates her new life, she must balance her desire to avoid the novel’s tragic plotlines with the growing complexities of her relationships with Bu Quegan, Chen Fuzhou, and Li Xingdao. The story follows her efforts to redefine her role within the sect, uncover the mysteries surrounding the original host’s disappearance, and navigate the political and martial challenges posed by the very characters she once viewed only as fictional tropes.
