The Village Chief of Caojia Village, also known as Third Brother or Third Uncle. He is a cousin within five degrees of kinship to Cao Adie (Cao A'shan). He manages most village affairs and initially seemed willing to let the two liang of silver be used for Fifth Son's studies rather than for medical treatment.
