The butler at Karkou Inn who has worked there for nearly thirteen years. He is a staunch bachelor with no wife or children. He has a receding hairline and is envious of Lai Yi's thick black hair. He serves rum to guests and appears loyal to the inn owner despite knowing about the paranormal occurrences. Also referred to as Kim in the text.
