Male, lives in the neighboring house next to Lin You. He is tall as a pine tree and mysterious, sometimes present sometimes not. He restores an abandoned Daoist temple at the eastern end of the village despite the town saying it is beyond repair. He practices divination with cups and meditates. He can hear Lin You through the walls and opened his eyes the moment she opened her door after meditating in the dark.
