A degenerate novel. Great for cultured people. Man, go ahead.
The author did a great job with the synopsis.U feel the mystery, the tension in this book. This is one of those books that drags you in and makes you read every nail biting moment until you finished it. However, i have a few concerns. Why is the 15th chapter Free and 14th one locked? I felt Dan is more like a teenager with father issues than a grownup man with the way his monologues carry out. I feel for him, i really do. What with him writIng poems and brooding. He is alone and lonely. I get it. But... according to the author he must be in his twenties (i deduced that from lily’s age). And he is way too sensitive for a guy in his twenties. I dont know... If it was a female Instead of a Male lead, I could understand the inner monolgue. Or it was me i guess. i Lean towards more stronger male lead. Or maybe the author is trying to show how Dan grows in His character, especially by showing from where he started. Other than that, the author did a splendid job of creating each scene. skillfully handled world-Building.

Its a decent story - the characters have promise - but unlike the foolish review who called him racist character the character does have flaws in his development but none are so jarring as to break the storyBasically hoping the author continues this story and develops Ni Wen's tale - and I hope he gets out of the trap of just introducing elements and speeding the story too fast - which tends to be a major flaw in most novels
I need to talk about Wang Hui for a second because THIS man. He's clearly not the strongest or smartest in the group, but when that steel bar pierces his thigh and he has to pull it out himself while zombies are breaking through the door behind them? I was genuinely on the edge of my seat. The author doesn't shy away from showing how fear and pain make people difficult - Wang Hui snaps at Tang Ye about the crystal prices, and honestly? I understood him. He's bleeding, in agony, and now he's being asked to pay premium prices for food. But then Su Rui steps in as the voice of reason, and Chen Yu immediately covers the bill without hesitation. That's the kind of loyalty that makes you believe in these people. And Zhou Wan! When she joked about turning into a cheerful girl if she could live here forever - that moment of levity after everything they'd been through hit me right in the feels. The sisters Jiang Qing and Jiang Hong just sitting there eating calmly while everyone else loses their minds over instant noodles... there's something deeply touching about how they've maintained their normalcy. This apocalypse hasn't broken their bond, and honestly, that's the emotional core I'm hanging onto.
