I love the dark part of this story. It's touchy and realistic. Even though I just read the first chapter, I felt every meaningful touch and idea the author wanted to pass through. I'm so impressed and I definitely love this. Keep it up, writer.
Enlightening!
Great story, a couple of fixes with the grammar and it will be good to go. Well-done.
STILL DON'T LIKE ERIS.
love the story.. but idk if this is the end. it's says ongoing but it's been weeks from the comments since the next chapter.. are you planning to finish this story. or leave it as is?
Ok! Now I don’t like where this is heading. I hope you won’t be dragging this novel! Please don’t complicate it
Again, another great story! I love your stories.
There’s humor and entertainment. ...

The author is playing 4D chess with the pacing here and I'm here for it. Let me break down the structure because it's genuinely clever. You have two parallel storylines running simultaneously: Qin Ruan's journey (slow, warm, domestic) and Huo Tingchen's search (urgent, intense, action-oriented). The chapter cuts between them like this: Qin Ruan and grandma preparing to leave → Huo Tingchen riding back to find her → Train journey, quiet moments → Huo Tingchen finding the hairpin, vowing to find her → More train warmth → Qin Ruan dreaming about him → Arrival at the military base. This cross-cutting creates this incredible dramatic tension because WE know something neither character fully understands yet. We see Huo Tingchen searching desperately while Qin Ruan is blissfully unaware on a train, eating eggs and dreaming about him. The reader is sitting there going "JUST FIND EACH OTHER ALREADY." The pacing also breathes beautifully. After the intense horse-riding search scene, we get the quiet train compartment with boiled eggs and malted milk powder. The author knows when to let the reader exhale. And then—arrival at the military base, new characters, gossip, the aunt introduction. The story keeps moving forward without ever feeling rushed. The chapter endings are also well-timed. Each section ends on a small hook: a vow, a dream, a question. Not cliffhangers, exactly, but enough to make you want to keep reading.
The story had a fun, whimsical tone, but the unexpected sexual content seemed out of place, especially given the tags. It's unfortunate because those elements didn't significantly contribute to the plot. They could have been toned down or omitted without affecting the overall charm of the tale, making it suitable for all age groups.
The description of the ex-fiancé's castration by squid venom was unnecessarily graphic and detracted from the story's world-building. The subsequent discussion about unconventional sex education felt irrelevant and could have been skipped or briefly summarized as focusing on communication and mutual pleasure. The tentacle monster's attempt at taking the main character's virginity seemed like an odd tangent, and there were other ways for the sister to create conflict without resorting to that.
In essence, these elements felt abrupt and incongruous within the otherwise light-hearted, fairy tale-esque narrative.
TQ FOR THE UPDATES
