So far I'm finding it interesting because the writing is clear and quite descriptive. It makes the world captivating and the main character easy to relate to.
I've read until around 40 chapters in English and some raws, but not on Qidian (look up on NU for previous tl).
- Only 568 chapters, so it's considered extremely short to invest your precious time. Read it if you have spare time, like the premise, or already read every other novels.
- Not a cultivation focused novel, more like political slice of life.
- Slow paced, but intelligent story. And by intelligent, I mean, even antagonist have a proper background & course of actions, not just mindless brute.
- It is a harem. Not just a harem because someone is peerless beauty capable of destroying nations, but because they have a good character & skillset.
Intricacy is nice for a few chapters but taking the entire free period to impress an idea is too much. Huge potential for story acceleration but I just can't, with a clear mind, gamble on this tortoise speed storyline.

So many petty comments.. The novel of Pierce the heavens synopsis was misleading, I did read it afterwards & it was a really cool novel and I admit voting without reading is very irrational but at least we had a synopsis to base from. But here so many people being petty and personal over a misunderstanding, the bad comments of that novel were all deleted. And it's not like you bunch didn't judge this novel by it's cover, and not all of us will like the same thing whether a novel leaning towards Feminity or masculinity. Apparently Qidian has this much toxic people, grow up. If I encounter this toxicity this much, I will just leave QIDIAN, at that point screw novels.

I run across this while looking up the Manwa version. I cannot believe it so different. I enjoy it. Ye Xuanis so mysterious that people wonder who he is. He also state his just an ordinary Elder from a small Sect in a forgotten corner of the country, which suprised people and they don't believe it. The miracle that he performed all are Heaven Defining shocking people to point that they even think he is a saint in disguise. the funny when it make a call back to "Battle though the heavens", I laughed. I look forward to the rest of the story.
