After randomly refreshing my library after coming back from work and relaxing. I had fallen off my couch after seeing that not only was this novel not abandoned but it also got a mass release.

Well, none of the stats in any of the novels have been accurate. In my opinion, attributes like strength are subjective since they are a combination of willpower, muscle density, bone strength, stamina, fatigue, and energy reserves. The other attributes are also similar - like agility depends on body mass, leg muscle density, and other things. Well, it does get complicated if we include all the factors, but hope they can consider some of them at least.

I saw this novel there and so far they have the best translations for any Novels(its mostly Yaoi though).（＾ω＾）

I experienced a significant drop in quality with the second arc; it was an utter disaster, far beyond my expectations. The author seemed incredibly lazy, recycling the first arc almost verbatim. The original arc lacked any creativity, feeling like a series of overused cliches. When the author tried to mix things up, the narrative lost coherence, turning into mindless fight scenes and repetitive tournaments with no clear reason, other than being a formulaic inclusion.
The setting, a small school sect and a mountain dungeon, felt like a carbon copy. The characters were recycled too, with predictable roles – a patriarch versus another, mothers and sisters, arrogant young masters seeking to eliminate the protagonist, and one-dimensional supporting characters. The world lacked depth, offering no twists, suspense, or character growth. The standard antagonist tropes of violence and rape were prevalent, and the protagonist remained the perpetual underdog.
The story felt unimaginative, a mere copy-paste of generic plotlines. Predictability was the norm, and I could anticipate events well over a hundred chapters ahead. Furthermore, the reliance on duels or life-or-death battles as the sole solution to conflicts didn't appeal to me. There was no hint of genuine creativity or meaningful character development.
Despite the amusing pet moments, I can only give this two stars.
This novel stands out as quite a departure from the norm. On one hand, its plot and character development are exceptional, drawing comparisons to well-crafted narratives. However, my personal enjoyment falls short when compared to similar high-quality works.
Initially, I was intrigued by the premise,以为会像《Re:Zero》那样，主角虽然有时显得软弱，但能逐步克服缺点，战胜内心的挣扎，凭借智慧和勇气保护所爱之人。然而，实际情况并非如此。主角经历了创伤性事件，但他的天真和不变令人意外。他宁可世界毁灭也不愿杀一个孩子，所谓的"内心恶魔"只是放弃的念头，这在合理的范围内，并非真正威胁。
此外，主角的智力似乎并未因最初的逆境而提升，性格也没有显著变化。他有时显得愚蠢，不是无法救药，但确实缺乏成长。大部分时间，他在重症监护室里昏迷，女主角则在一旁充满内疚和怜悯地哭泣。故事的模式循环如下：
> 保护女主角 > 进入ICU > 短暂苏醒 > 女主角揭示真相 > 再次陷入昏迷 > 女主角感到内疚和同情 > 主角醒来 > 女主角保持沉默 > 主角被其他威胁出其不意
这样的重复让人感到有些单调和失望。
