It's described as the mark of the Gu bloodline, carried by every woman in that line. But it's also the thing Su Qing touches unconsciously, like a talisman, like a question she's finally allowed herself to ask. Twenty years of being told she's a Su, of being beaten and banished and treated as unwanted—and the proof of her true identity is literally on her body the whole time. The title of the letter chapter—"The Letter That Shook the Heavens"—is almost too on-the-nose, but then you read it and realize the author means it literally. This isn't just personal revelation. This is a bloodline connecting a rusticated youth to the deputy military commission. The heavens themselves seem to rearrange in those pages.
The novel can be off-putting due to the behavior of the main character (MC) and other characters. One major issue is the MC's extreme submissiveness towards his childhood friend, despite having other potential partners who are interested in him. He consistently rejects them for the sake of his childhood love, even after years without contact (including reincarnation). This seems illogical and unrealistic.
Additionally, the plot includes predictable moments, such as the MC's attachment to a lost chance with his childhood friend, despite the improbability of their reunion. The story also features a subplot about the king's inability to control his kingdom and a confusing relationship dynamic between the MC and Rio, where Haruto tries to hide his feelings.
However, there are positive aspects to the novel as well. The MC's loyalty to his childhood friend initially is commendable, and the balance of both support and dislike from characters adds depth to the story. The MC's ability to show care and assertiveness when necessary is another plus. The narrative structure, with alternating peaceful and thrilling arcs, keeps the reader engaged, even if some subplots feel unnecessary or drawn out.
Overall, while the novel has its flaws and some unexplained elements, it maintains an engaging charm despite these setbacks.
for all who want to read this it will start good but eventually it starts to get repetitive and boring mc basically thinks with his d*ck and the system should just be called "f*ck every girl you meet system"

It's a nightmare . The frequency of updates are so bad that sometimes it makes me want to learn time control. The Author is mainly busy with his other novel as that is his source of income. And he is having a writers block now.

It starts of pretty good. But as the story progresses MC becomes too much for the author. So author often speed runs few arcs. But he everything acts in a normal pace then it becomes 4 star for me.

Main character is highly cautious, extremely rational, supremely arrogant but marvelously talented. But side characters are mainly good when they are new and fresh. Though they don't disappear but they have less screen time.

Just to warn future readers, the story doesn't have an actual proper ending and was dropped at chapter 904 because the site the original author was writing on changed its terms and conditions and massively cut how much author were paid. If you search for this story you should find the juicy details on other sites and forums. This also affected many other Chinese authors and novels.
I have no idea why some people in comments further down are apparently praising the ending, when the story literally ended abruptly a few chapters into another arc. Although many of the plot threads had been resolved, many others weren't, and this story was clearly planned to be a much longer epic that was sadly cut short.
What's there is fun and well written for a xianxia system novel (provided you can stand a blatantly OP main character), but it is most definitely cut short, and you won't get a big payoff.

I read the manhwa of this one a long time ago, as one of my first manga/manhwa ever actually, and it was really, really, really good. I’ll eventually get around to reading the web novel too now and have my fingers crossed for a light novel. Also, really hope everyone does check out the manhwa, it’s art is extremely pretty.
while there are some bad reviews I read about the novel I really enjoyed it. course I'm not much of a critic unless it comes to stupidly unlawful scripts but you know this was at least more enjoyable than some other novels. sucks they seem to have dropped the translations though
