Professor Kal is a story about Kal, a lich who hid his phylactery in another plane, granting him pseudo-immortality and a lot of power. He decides to explore the world since he hasn't left his cave for over two millennia.
Mildly interesting story, however the execution left much to be desired.
Writing quality is below average, there's a lot of awkward writing, small mistakes, and some of the dialogue is very cringy and unrealistic. (3/5 stars)
Story development is quite bad. It's a typical overpowered protagonist story, where the main character is a teacher. The concept is somewhat decent, but the execution was quite poor. There are constant POV shifts to people I don't really care about. We have fights with said irrelevant people that makes the whole thing even more boring, especially when the main character is basically God. While a lot of stories have annoying POV shifts that completely ruin the flow, and makes me skip a lot of chapters, this novel is especially bad. Instead of separating the POV shifts and making them small, the author will release them in batches, so there's 2 - 5 chapters straight of different POVs. I find myself skipping several chapters at a time. (2/5 stars)
Character design is meh. While the main character is comedic, and the dialogue is rather interesting, everything is bland. Every single one of these characters have very bland and cliché motivations. It is very hard to get invested into any of these characters. It feels like you are watching a play when you've already memorized the script. (2/5 stars)
World background. It's rather bad to be honest. Theres very little information about spells and alchemy, aside from "use mana to make spell" or "combine ingredients until you get a cool colored potion", considering theres a fair bit of that in this novel, it's rather annoying. Aside from that, the author has very little world building in general, and almost exclusively uses exposition dumps in other POVs. (2/5 stars)
Overall, a somewhat interesting concept for a novel but sub-par execution. Characters are bland, writing quality leaves you wanting, story development leaves you more annoyed the further you get into the novel, and world background is quite bland as well. I give this novel 2.8 stars out of 5.
Sorry but this novel has no good trademarks. While the concept for the novel is good there is no substance to back it up I wont go into detail cause that would waste time but if the author keeps writing like he/she does If i was the author would just end the story here and work on something else
The narrative style is different but well written with clear ideas.
The childhood nostalgia and the essence of family and values was well portrayed. The effects of loss and grief and the understanding and support from the family and friends were really heartwarming.
But there are many instances of tense switches and missing punctuation marks. And I suggest breaking your paragraphs into smaller chunks which will make it easy to read and digest.
All in all, a book with great potential. A bit of editing and polishing will definitely make it shine.
All the best

A very well-crafted story, which unfolds throughout the plot, is a charismatic protagonist. Over time, this job just gets better!
At least until chapter 90, I have nothing to complain about, I hope that the author continues to develop the background world and the mysteries of that world.
This story is really really bad. The plot cannot be maintained, not just between chapters but even between sentences. The characters are all one one dimensional but the protagonist is in a league of their own, a rare caricature of everything wrong with some Chinese protagonists.
Also it should have ‘magical apocalypse’, ‘cultivation’ and ‘system cheat’ tags.
Haha..did not expect that. I only read your sypnosis but here is a 5 star. I will come back later and read it.. hehe. ^^for now.... (**) 140 characters coming up..I guess
The story has been pretty interesting so far. I think I would recommend it to others. I don't know what else to put so have a great day everyone
Amazing, once you get a hang of the writers style it’s easier to stomach , more of a relaxing adventure then a read , could definitely use some more spacing to break up the ideas, overall 7/10!
first of harem i am fan but i am not a fan of anthro anywaydo we still need beast taming novels isn't that seemingly more in this site why add this cause it doesn't look like its gonna give ua something fresh ?
This book is amazing, keep going! Can't stop reading. Can't wait to see more. Do you have any social media that I can follow so I can know when you gonna update?
TLDR, This stories like a writing project a 7th grader would turn in and get a C for.Interesting at first, cliche after cliche, to instant power-up and time skip, to adventuring with no clear purpose but a slight hero complex, no clear understanding of how strong the MC is. Apparently he's a "Sage" but we never really get a clear understanding of the world's power scale and how strong a "sage" is supposed to be, from what I can see so far he seems like a 2nd rate magician with a few single and multi-target spells, nothing that can kill over 10 people really. He kills completely evil people like slavers who killed his father and (maybe r*ped his mother? author was never clear) also killed his mother, or a fat old noble lady who threw one of her slaves to be r*ped by 3 men then killed, then shoved a fire poker up the bum of the other cat girl. But then feels bad and like he wasn't supposed to do that. He gets on the wrong side of a receptionist because of his naiveness who starts discriminating and bullying him even sending him to a brothel and a recommendation to one of those male-like female cliche characters. He then stays there despite paying more or less the same as a normal inn despite knowing where some normal inns are (place he stayed at when he first came in the city). Theres alot more stupid stuff like this to read in this book but ill end it here otherwise this review wouldnt be readable. It's not bad to have a few cliches and unlikeable characters, you just have to balance it out with your own original ideas and interesting plot points. For example, it doesn't make sense for the receptionist to be mad at the MC for so long, or the MC to just sit there and take her abuse without easily clearing things up, or to be staying in the brothel like hotel for so long when there are clearly other options for the same price. You could have at least gave a destination for the MC other than "wandering around relying on plot armor for lucky encounters". For example, finding some lost relic of the succubus race that his mother had, or seeking out his fathers sister in the capital to check up on her and write from there. These are some basic examples but a little can go a long way.
