PLEHLUCIKEN
Let me just say this—this author understands PACING like a weapon. The chapter opens with a NIGHT SUMMONS. Rain, urgency, Uncle Li's voice carrying "a trace of urgency beneath his otherwise emotionless voice," Qin Shu dressing like she's going to a banquet instead of walking into the unknown. My heart was POUNDING. I was turning pages like my life depended on it. And then—BAM—Chapter 4 starts with her sitting in a creaking wooden chair reading about aconite root. The pace STOPS. Completely. The prose slows to a crawl: "The pages had yellowed and curled with age. Her fingertips traced the cold inked words." It's almost meditative. And I know some people might call this slow, but NO—this is where the chapter earns its emotional weight. The author is telling us, in the quietest possible way, that Qin Shu is absorbing poison the way she's absorbing everything else: silently, methodically, until it becomes part of her. Then the food delivery scene? The pacing builds again, but differently this time. Cui Xi's dialogue is fast, sharp, almost comedic in its cruelty—"Oh? Madam is still here?"—and each line of her speech is a tiny strike. The author uses her dialogue as a metronome, each line ticking up the tension until Floating Cloud is ready to explode. The chapter ends with Nanny Zhang weeping over a greasy stain. Not a cliffhanger. Not a dramatic reveal. Just an old woman crying over something nobody else would notice. And somehow, that's the most powerful ending possible. The author trusts us to feel the weight of it without spelling anything out.
Let me just say this: the opening of Zhang Yushu's first class is one of the most vividly rendered scenes I've read in a while. Fifteen students in a room, all watching this nervous first-time teacher who's holding a bamboo tube like it's Excalibur. The detail about the Princess assigning a minor official from the Ministry of Works to help with measurements — that's worldbuilding through implication, not exposition. You immediately understand the institutional support behind this invention without being told directly. And the classroom itself! Two-hour classes with fifteen-minute breaks, a format the students are "unaccustomed to" but gradually find logical. This is a medical school with modern pedagogy transplanted into an ancient setting, and the author never stops to explain it — we just see it happening, students raising hands, rushing to try the stethoscope, the genuine excitement when they hear a heartbeat for the first time. The sensory detail of the bamboo tube transmitting that clear, rhythmic pulse must have been something to experience in real time. Then there's the contrast of the stifling June heat in the palace garden, Zhe Qing reviewing notes in a pavilion, spotting a girl passing by with floating text above her head — "Genius in Biology, Physics, and Chemistry." The visual of her chasing after the girl, running until she's out of breath, ordering guards to stop her, and then personally helping the trembling twelve-year-old up instead of intimidating her. That sequence moves from comedic to tender in three sentences. The world feels alive because every location has its own temperature, its own mood, its own people moving through it with purpose.
The dialogue in this section is remarkably distinct for each character, and I want to highlight a few moments that really showcase the author's skill. Sheng Qianyu's conversation with the dean is probably the most impressive piece of dialogue. When she says, 'We are now moving forward in the dark, but we do so because we believe light will come. Not only do I believe in the country, but millions of Chinese people also believe it!' — this isn't just words, it's her entire philosophy compressed into a single speech. And then she immediately pivots to the personal: 'I have things and people I care about. I cannot disregard them for the sake of my career.' She's not choosing between patriotism and personal life; she's saying both matter, and she'll find a way to honor both. The dean responds with 'Go. When the storm subsides, I hope you will return.' Short. Warm. Perfect. Zhao Daxiong's dialogue with Political Commissar Chen about his daughter is hilarious and painful at the same time. 'She said older men know how to cherish their partners!' — the fact that he had to OMIT the part where Chen Zhou ran away to an island shows how much he still wants to protect his friend's reputation, even while being utterly exasperated. And Chen's internal monologue — 'suppressing the wild joy in his heart and the trembling of his hands holding the enamel mug' — this is comedy gold. But Zhao Xiaoyu's line 'What a show' after Sheng Qianyu's emotional farewell? That single line tells us everything about her character. She can't process sincerity. To her, genuine emotion is performance. That's the tragedy of someone who's been rewarded for manipulation their entire life.
This opening is SO tight. Chapter 1 starts mid-action—Chen Xi gets reborn right as her cousin is pressing on her head wound and blood is streaming into her eyes. No exposition dump, no slow buildup, just immediate violence and confusion and then her brain kicks into gear. She processes her rebirth in seconds while physically reacting to the pain. The scene cuts to the hospital, then to her family discussing sending her to the countryside instead of her brother, and by the end of Chapter 2 she's already outmaneuvered her mother and stayed in the hospital. Then Chapter 3 introduces the RV reveal and by the end she's discovered its rules (one-hour limit, headache penalty) and the nurse confirms she can be discharged tomorrow. The pacing is relentless but never rushed. Each chapter ends on a note that makes you want to keep going—Chapter 1 ends with her family dragging her cousin away and her collapsing, Chapter 2 ends with her successfully manipulating the situation to stay hospitalized, Chapter 3 ends with her mother coming to discharge her and Chen Xi asking the devastating question "Am I your biological child?" The author knows exactly when to cut scenes and when to linger. The transition from the violent opening to the quieter hospital scenes to the magical RV discovery creates a nice rhythm. And that final line in Chapter 3 where the mother asks "If you're not my biological child, then who gave birth to you?" and Chen Xi laughs—what a cliffhanger. I need to know what she says next.
I can understand that you want to make money like who doesn't ? But are you going to drop your previous works like ICM10000× faster or ICR10000× faster cause I really love them especially the latter. Judging from the synopsis of this novel it's similar to ICR10000× faster but a little more refined so why start writing a fresh novel? A lot of authors do this on Webnovel is it a pattern ? or what? like I don't understand did your contact with them become void or what even if it's the case then maybe can start publishing it on royal road or something not just drop the book and start a new novel. Sorry ? for the feedback/review I just had to put this out there that like 60% of authors on Webnovel drop books and start new ones before finished the previous one and it's become common-place but still I will say thank you for continue writing I don't know what you going through or your situation but thank you. CJ

This novel is truly amazing and captivating. I would love to see how Alan would keep leveling up and become more stronger in the future. But before then, I just hope that this book get contracted, so that the author can keep releasing more captivating chapters
