I read as much of the Manhua Translation (MTL) as I could before hitting paywalls.
This novel essentially takes story beats and character archetypes from the standard urban harem genre and swaps out the perverted soldier king main character for a more shrewd, cautious man. Lin Yuan has a system that rewards him with points based on his counterattacks against the novel’s main character (MC). These actions range from developing relationships with the MC’s harem, stealing the MC’s business opportunities, and generally defaming the MC. He can use these points to increase his base stats, such as Charm, Strength, Speed, and so on. He also gains skills from the system depending on the choices he makes in critical moments. While some readers might find the system limiting, as the choices often boil down to "do thing" or "don’t do thing," I didn’t mind this aspect.
The novel reads similarly to its contemporaries in the urban romance genre, featuring face-slapping, lots of fake smiles, and characters who are just terrible people for no real reason. Some characters feel more like NPCs. A couple of the women in the original harem act as if Lin Yuan is an infallible golden son whose attention they must have, or they’ll cry to death. However, Lin Yuan is undeniably charming, and combined with his good looks, knowledge of the novel, and pay-to-win cheat system, it’s easy for him to leave positive impressions on people.
What I enjoyed the most is that Lin Yuan acts according to his own ideas rather than just stealing the main character’s encounters. Beyond that, he actually cares about some of the side characters and actively works to improve them.
If you’re looking for a light read to kill some time, this is a pretty easy novel to pick up. The chapters are neither too long nor too short and are entertaining enough to binge. If you’re not a fan of or have no interest in the genre, you should probably skip this. But if you are interested, I can definitely recommend it to you.
Supposedly good, but I hate being hit with the "Very handsome and rich" card every single chapter. Additionally, there's a ridiculous power-up system where the main character can become a god at anything as long as he has the money. It makes you feel bad for those who genuinely worked hard to develop their skills, knowing the main character can just throw cash into his system to achieve the same level. I give it 3.3/5 because the story does feature some really great female characters (and even a harem), but every other character seems like an idiot.

Yeah but it's still there, and that alone is enough to push many people away and leave them with an extremely negative impression. Idk what the author was thinking by including that, wouldn't of been bad if it was kept wholesome, It's a shame because the rest of the novel is actually really really good, the characters are amazing.
Chinese mc are all arrogant young masters/trash who only think with their lower body while japanese mc are just a bunch of dense idiots who just blindly walk in a straight path

There's an abundance of unnecessary padding... Not only does the romantic storyline progress at a snail's pace, but the overall plot development is dreadfully slow. If you choose to read this, brace yourself for a vivid and elaborate description of various settings, scenarios, and incidents that unfortunately get overshadowed or discarded in subsequent chapters, never to resurface. It's quite a test of one's patience and a substantial loss of time, particularly since the拖沓 becomes almost unbearable from the halfway point all the way to the end.

Overall I say it's kind of iffy because right now we can see that he's going to get a major speed boost with the same time this novel is probably going to be longer so overall I'd say no he's still faster than you think but we always see two major Realms ahead of him in the story because he can just jump one full Realm so we need enemies you can't actually beat
I understand. Normally I like reading long chapters to kill boredom. This one really deserves it's exaggerated recommendations, too bad it's finished
Is it complete? I hate starting novels and finding out its not complete.
