Hello everyone, Cookie the author here.
Now I'll answer some questions as I casually 5-star my own book.
"What is this novel about?"
From the onset, it is about a wondrous land with a long history, where countless worlds are interconnected.
It is about a Tyrant's incomprehensible choice.
It is about a child of prophecy who failed at stopping that oppressor, and his second attempt at making things right.
It is about the charismatic entourage of characters who gravitate towards him on his way back up.
And lastly, it is about their meteoric rise in a world that desperately yearns for freedom.
"What sets your novel apart from other eastern fantasy stories?"
A boundless universe with thought-out lore, where a single piece of information will unravel to reveal countless more mysteries and conspiracies.
Multi-faceted characters with their own dreams and aspirations, different upbringing, and demons to face.
Storylines that evolve step by step, organically. Neither blandly following cliches, nor senselessly subverting each and every one of them in a vain effort to revolutionize a genre I've come to love.
An original power system that stands on the shoulder of giants, presenting its own spin on the ideas of cultivation and cultivation bases, immortals and Daos, and immortal ascension.
"Who is the main character?"
A genius who once led the rebellion against Tian, incensed by the sacrifice of a loved one. A brilliant mind that revolutionized the cultivation world in his three hundred-odd years of life.
Wise, knowledgeable, shrewd, savvy. Quick to clap back. Compassionate and empathic, yet could only grow colder with the passing of the years, living a life of schemes, deceit, war and suffering.
He borderlines psychopathy in a world where the deranged have risen to the helm. However, be it his innate poetic disposition or the childhood teachings of a dear one who gave her life for him, he still can't help appreciating the magnificence the many worlds have to offer.
And lastly, "Is this novel truly worth 5 stars?"
I do not expect Immortal Ascension Tower to appeal to everyone. However, it is a good novel. It is the story that plays out in my head every day as I daydream, and every night as I lay in bed without falling asleep. One that I can endlessly play back as I refine its every minute detail, and yet doesn't ever tire me.
It is the novel I've been wanting to read all these years, yet nobody else could write.
Immortal Ascension Tower is my 5 stars. And if you give it a chance, that might just be the case for you as well.
I wish you all safe travels though the Land of Countless Planes.
Huh. No one els has written a review so I will take it upon myself to do it. If you want me to tell you about how good it is or about how awesome the story and characters are, we’ll, guess again as if you want to know then you have to read it. But seriously, just read it, it’s really good, though I do hope the pacing isn’t as slow for all the floors. Just read the book
All I can say is that this book is so amazing, astonishing, astounding, surprising, bewildering, stunning staggering, shocking, startling, stupefying, breathtaking, perplexing, and awe-inspiring.
I love this novel. I first read the light novel.so when I heard there is a web novel I went to straight reading it. and yeah I am very much enjoying this. from volume pf web novel the difference between LN and WN can be observed. but I want a update beyond chapter 204.
It looks interesting due to the sheer absurdity of the premise.
I will support this novel from now on.
wonderful book. translation editing is not the best. unfortunately after chapter 860 the book gets unreadable due to the "anti-piracy" measures and the chapters become random repeat chapters from earlier. kinda disappointing bc I was enjoying it.
Only for man of culture and don't care about anything at all.Interesting plot on early chapters and everything went down very fast.-MC become retard, no need to explain. Retard is retard. -MC personality also change. -MC hide his identity.I don't recommend this. Waste of time for me.
Your book touched me!Thank You!I really loved it!Hope you'll continue...
If you’re into Solo leveling type stories then this is for you. There’s a lot of things that are said that contradicts the actions that are done. At best go into this story to enjoy the action potential and turn off brain when reading this because it’s questionable at best of the things that transpired so far.
How is this piece of trash ranked as #1 on Webnovel?
It's literally painful to read, no matter what age or interests you have.
The only positive thing about this novel is the rate of updates.
Writing quality is below average even for this site. Half-baked English with multiple spelling errors, basic language, and plenty of grammatical errors. It's slightly above a 1-star due to it being 80% coherent and identifiable as English, but that's about it.
Updates are probably why this novel still lives on. The author just keeps writing, and the mindless reader just keeps reading. The chapters are short though, so really nothing special even there.
The story up to the point that I've read makes no logical sense at all.
The characters are as basic as they come, almost as if they were directly drafted from a character template for a B-rated anime show.
The only reason I gave the World Background a 2-star rating is that I quit reading before the author even had a chance to improve on it.
Not a fan of writing reviews, but since I feel that this novel doesn't have the exposure and support it deserves and the author is sooo nice I decided to share my short humble opinion.
First of all the world building is very well made, it has similarities with the ultimate evolution. Nevertheless it's original, has a lot of potential and it's slowly but steadily presented.
There's a long introduction delving a lot into the mc's personality and worldview. For some people maybe that's a reason not to read it. For me it wasn't boring at all. I could even empathise with him occasionally. The explanations and building of his personality maybe were were a bit rough and forced in some cases, but it didn't make it unpleasant and the author said he would improve his first chapters so maybe this will not me the case in some weeks.
I am not a native speaker, I found some small and not important mistakes, but not many and they didn't make my reading experience bad.
All in all I would definitely recommend it! Let's just hope that the author keeps this high release rate and quality :)
