The book have a very interesting premise and the writing quality is superb. However, there are many things that I noticed about the novel that drags it down. The story developes in a very weird and confusing was that make it hard to follow or understand. Importent things and features are added in randomly without any explanation really on what they do and their importance to the overall story. The MCs thought process can be said to be cunning but also a bit one tracked minded. One example of this is when MC kills someone and obtains a new cultivation system, and decides to join that organization in the future to obtain the resources needed in the future when there is a million other things that needed to be done beforehand. The people's thought process in the novel just seem a bit out of place, with them doing things in certain ways to make the story work. This can be greatly attributed to the lack of info provided to us by the author. With random cultivation systems added and new things(treasures,seeds,currency ) introduced it just becomes confusing. The author tries to provide mystery and it is intriguing, but with the severe lack of knowledge regarding the current situation the mysterious aspects just becomes hazy and bring apon more confusion. The power system is also very complex, which is understandable in the world setting currently. The math in the novel is a but wonky but not too bad if u don't look into it too much. the power levels of individuals are all over the place with individuals killing people of way higher cultivation levels and being in places they shouldn't be. (one example is a heavenly god killing a dao emperor in the mortal realm, but is still a weakling in the ground scheme of things when dao emperors are the highest level Acheivalble). I have quite a dislike of the system which seems to be very out of place and provide random helpful things with little to none explanation. Maybe it's just me who find the book confusing with the lack of information, and others can decipher it fine. Overall the book is a decent read, and has a very interesting concept.
The story was really good. But then the MC went FULL harem mode. I don't know why the author did this. He even made the MC feel bad for cheating on his girlfriend. but then he continued to cheat on her with other girls.For some reason the 'american' girls became okay with it. Well, i am dropping this at this point. Read till chapter 450 i think. This review is for anyone who thinks this is not a harem. It is. It is a harem.
Great novel, doesn't disappoint considering IET's work. The characters seem to be pretty fleshed out and more and more information becomes available as we continue the story
this is awesome. im so bored of those face slap novels. this is purely cultivation slice of life so far and i love it. i need something wholesome to read to relax and this is it.

The only reason I voted for this novel is because thestatsguy returned and gave us information on this novel. I didn't even read the synopsis. Thus, on this day I voted for thestatsguy.
One of the better wrItten novels on this site. It is exciting and suspenseful with just the right amount of humor. There were quite a lot of chapter comments which tells me there are quite a lot of readers. I would love to see this novel continued. This is the 4th novel that Webnovel suggested that was dropped.
I really like this story. The characters have been describe perfectly. And the story line is awesome. I really wish you can update everyday.
400+ chapters and still no development in the personality of the mc which befits a death god remotely. This novel which one would expect to be about the mc's journey towards becoming the death god is riddled by useless and boring ? interactions and story telling of other side characters. This frankly gets tiring the more it occurs as who in their right mind would follow this story to read about the love story of some random characters like mulia and hadian, and many other sides. Also the fact the mc travels and adventures in a large group and doesn't mind having these side people tag along creating a group of 7+ people is annoying to say the least. the thrill of the mcs adventure and discovering new locations and items etc. is lost when you have more than 7 people tagging along in this journey. Also having his parents tag along on this journey is the worst idea ? this author could have written. perhaps thus was his attempt to try something that hasn't been done in this genre but why try fix something that wasn't broke? who cares about his parents and their drama to the point of making it its own mini novel like seriously. This author lost sight of his priorities. bottom line is, there are many more novels similar and a lot better in execution that this novel as many of the defects of this novel is not present in the other novels so save yourself the headache and time and skip this book.Thank you and have a nice day!
i don't like the book. maybe because of my preference of stories but the author trying too much like classic Chinese novel where MC have tragedies background, growing up don't have talent and weak, suddenly found have hidden Talents yet still too weak too slow of growth, too much info dump even though the info not relevant in couple hundreds chapter, no sense of growth (as in even though it shows MC growing can already kill 5 star beast from initial 2 star but theres no sense of how much different because the author just want the reader to accept blatantly if he said this is stronger than it is. last but not least too naive
