Need more chapters
This book is terrible, chapters on repeat, chapters where it’s the same characters but a different book all together, do not waste your money. Pages repeat all the time and it’s all over the shop. Needs a full overhaul not even just a simple edit.
Why you made Leslie the villain :(
Love the book just didn’t like that
love your story and loved today's update ...
Hummmm… well short and sweet! I wish it was longer. The ending was rushed
I don't usually write reviews, but I feel compelled to share a balanced perspective on this series amidst the extreme opinions it receives. The series has a unique structure that shifts from a dark revenge tale in the first volume, catering to a specific audience, to a lighter harem storyline, attracting a different crowd.
The overall narrative isn't bad – it's a standard hero-in-a-fantasy-world plot, but with our protagonist not being the traditional hero. The conflict escalates predictably to include gods, which may be expected but still executed well, considering it's an online novel.
Hajime, the main character, undergoes significant transformation, starting as a bullied loner, then becoming cold and self-centered. Some fans appreciate the darker phase, but later, Hajime evolves into a more righteous protagonist, which some find conflicting. I see it as his struggle to regain his kind-hearted nature while grappling with his past weaknesses.
The harem aspect can be a mixed bag. While it's not your typical cliche, Hajime does choose one girl, and others support him despite their unrequited love. However, the portrayal of Shia and Tio as comedic relief can feel overdone, bordering on awkward or unsettling at times.
The supporting characters, mainly his classmates, are somewhat one-dimensional, but they serve as a refreshing break from the central focus on Hajime's journey. They provide enough depth without overshadowing the story.
The world-building is decent, incorporating familiar elements of a transported hero story but with enough originality to prevent boredom. It strikes a balance between cliches and surprises.
In conclusion, if you enjoy both dark and lighthearted narratives, this series could be worth a read. It's unclear if the author intentionally changed direction or simply evolved their vision. Regardless, the story, setting, writing, and characters are solid, making it an enjoyable experience despite its inconsistencies.
Good or Bad I don't know,
