Second review, because why not? I've read pass 100 chapters already. First, the influence of the novel is immense for me may it be for better or for worse. I like it despite its discrepancies, so the review might not be helpful for the other readers. As I said in my last post, I'm a friend of the author and I'm a little bit biased about wanting him to succeed in his writing career. (I'm writing the review for other readers to know the charm, because Coffee has all my input already.)
Writing Quality: 4 Stars
He said it himself in the aux chapter, what he uploads are the first drafts and would only even edit the free chapters. I find his words skewed, but I understood when he said he'd probably edit his premium chapters as well when he's done with the four-month guaranteed payment. Straight four months, one chapter daily is tough for his laziness, so I'm cutting him the slack. So far, I enjoyed the chapters he sends each and every day. I haven't gotten used of the recurring monologues, but they're all compensated by the low-key talking-and-walking signature happening between characters (the scenes are mostly refreshing to read), and what I like best are the surreal mind reading shenanigans. I've never read a book before that's so out of the norm. Of course, it has to be done somewhere before, but the way they're being executed are cleaner than the action scenes. I like the vigor.
Stability of Updates: 2 Stars
Easy five stars if the updates are linear, but volume three being simulpublished is a mess. Especially when Volume 2 gets a chapter in a week when Volume 3 has six. Please, take it the other way around. I understand that Volume 3 is another story, but if I'm a regular reader, I won't open the next book unless I've finished what's before it.
Story Development: 3 Stars
Tbh, the structure is also a mess. But because the author was so insistent it's a "literary metafiction", I've been looking at it differently. It has a story, and the synopsis straightly jabs it to your head that the protagonist is also the antagonist. So everything that's happening in the novel, he does all himself. I won't spoil the fun, and I can see that in the latest chapters. But there are so many dropped events that likely lead to something big. To stitch them together is a nightmare, it doesn't fit in my mental map that I've shut my head off whenever I read and just indulge to what happens without trying to speculate. It's a hard process, but I'm coping because I know it leads to something fun.
Character Design: 5 Stars
I know what Hitoribotchi no Shirayukihime means enough to know that the author has all his attention to Shirayuki Otogibanashi. Everyone else is insignificant, and that's captured in them disappearing from the story with their efforts cut out from his point of view. Lazy writing, perhaps, but Coffee has talent in establishing supporting and background characters that I'm also coping because I know it leads to something fun!
World Background: 3 Stars?
I don't know if it's genius or not, but I have a hard time processing the world when little is said. I like how the narrator stands on hating worldbuilding, hence he drops information here and there regarding this and that at times where they seem to count. They're effective, most of the time, but I would prefer learning how their magic worked before they take an evaluation to measure strength and levels. Also, Mages can only use magic through their hands. I've observed it from explanation, but wasn't explicitly said until that one point in Volume 2 (note, it was still hidden) when Shirayuki projects an alternate reality where the "Gods" sever his hands and continuously burn them by the cut in order for him to not cast his strong magic nor regenerate/reconnect his cut limbs back. How the novel plays on its subtle hints, I personally like them but sometimes they're easy to miss. Well, if you want to relish the spectacle, then you could always be immersed or you'd be left out over a small detail unabsorbed.
I was able to read it to a point. Although I'm not a fan of transmigration stories and all. I mist say it is well written. And organised. To those fan of such stories, you could give it a try.
I thought that this will be another bad har to the rem. Got clickbaited by the cover and decided to read the sstory anyways.
Main Character: 5/5, Faust Hecates was the absolute chad in term of experience and willpower. He is as badàss when the scene makes him up to be, even on the fight he is going to lose. He isnt the type that follow his meat stick either.
Just like his name suggest, he follows the interpretation of Faust by Goethe, quoted: "The erudite Faust is highly successful yet dissatisfied with his life, which leads him to make a pact with the Devil at a crossroads, exchanging his soul for unlimited knowledge and worldly pleasures"
This version of Faust seems to be the far far aftermath of that interpretation, and you can say that he is on his lowest state until chapter 20ish where, just like in the original Faust, decided to enter the grand scheme of the univese once again, no matter how small it is. (Tho I doubt that it will be small.)
Writing Quality: 4,5/5. I can say that the author have read a lot of literature but not having english as his first language. There are errors every couple few chapters but it doesnt change the fact that the way it is written is astounding.
It is also written in immersive pov, which mean that we cant fully trust the words of our own narrator, like how the early unmotivated Faust refused that he knew something despite he knew something.
World Building: 5/5 god there are a lot of em, densely packed too. Some can be a bit info dumpy but fun enough to read.
Supporting/Sub/Background Cast: 5/5, many of them are memorable and some can be distinguished by their way of speaking within their respective dialog.
Story Complexity: REFERENCES! THERE ARE A LOT OF THEM AAAAAAAAAA-
Whether they are history, fairy tale, literature, nursery rhyme, songs, poem, historical figures, folk lore, etc. Every chapter have one or two or even five of them and some can be missed because how in the actual cheescake that the author knew such thing!?
Regardless, the author is new and this work is splendid. Mind you, I wrote this review at chapter 44. Whether it turns out good or bad in the future, it mostly depends on the author.
Likewise, this story is a tad niche imo, so some of you might be not find it interesting.
Also no, despite of the title, while the way of writing is similar to The Author's POV, the story is mostly learning on Lord of Mystery-ish. As for whether it is good as these two major title or not, it is up to you to decide.
I'm just short of words. There is no word in my dictionary that I can use to qualify the greatness of this book but I would still go ahead and say a few words. The author did a good job in the first chapter. I could almost imagine the heart break. And I agree with the author why our heart break doesn't sound.
The MC is overpowered in his past life and slightly overpowered in his current life.
The story focuses a lot more in dialogue between people which I like. Others may not enjoy it so much if they only want actions.

If you're interested in an intricately constructed world woven around martial art and its impact on civilization, then this novel is for you. I would advise you to be patient when reading this story, it is slow by any reasonable measure.

The MC is authentic and feels like a real human. Others (reviewers/commenters) say that this story is one dimensional or the plot feels plain, but that's because it's "slice-of-life" when you aren't expecting it to be. I feel slightly refreshed with this story, many slice-of-life stories with system elements are over-powered JP Protagonists with lots of hype and naïve outlooks or edgy (trying to set trends). Also, I personally like the mild x-nature the author writes. It lets you know what happened without being so explicit to write lemon scenes you find in many fanfictions with unrealistic events.I also like that the female heroines feel like real heroines. The heroines all have actual stories, backgrounds, and design; there is actual character development; and the their reactions feel satisfying to read. I don't feel it's too much of a stretch or exaggeration, and there is no fake "true love" as the author skirts around with each womans own personal thoughts on what defines what "love" means. Like one woman believes love of a man is him taking responsibility and thinking for the woman while a woman's love is acceptance. And this definition of "love" changes from heroine to heroine.I also like the protagonist's spending habits. It's part of the "authentic" feeling. The story starts off poor-to-rich, the main character's attempt to spend his new found wealth, realizing that certain "high end" brands are actually just trash and searching for his own definition of quality and spending money with quantity. It's worth noting that it also feels realistic, because this is the same behavior real people have when they win the lottery. I've seen people "waste" inheritances and there are plenty of stories online about people who win the lottery and ends up in debt. The protagonist's spending habits specifically targets his desires and the character development of the protagonist, while some events could be argued to be plot devices, it still totally happens in real life. Even the first heroine's placement into the "harem" and her "obedience" feels normal. I don't even think t's even excessively exaggerated, as when lots of money is involved, people become willing to do things they might tell themselves they wouldn't do normally.It's too bad only 40 chapters were translated even after 1 year, but I liked this story so much that I went ahead and found it's 386 MTL chapters somewhere else. 我有种植空间Overall, I recommend checking out this novel. It's medium length story with an urban setting with a harem seeking protagonist with a cheat-like farming space. The story uses the tag KingdomBuilding, but it would be more appropriate to say "Business Management
