If a book doesn't resonate with you from the start, it's perfectly fine to move on and read what truly captivates your interest. There's no need to force yourself through multiple volumes only to be disappointed later.

Although his actions are mandated by his 'Villain System,' he secretly aids the female leads from the shadows, receiving rewards only when his actions are public and facing consequences if they discover his true motives.
Though a Regressor with immense power, the narrative avoids overwhelming the reader with unrealistic victories. The MC grapples with genuine challenges while navigating his dual role and dealing with the heroines, who have also traveled back in time.
