Amazing and so far NO complete story swaps out of the Blue!
Love this book! Can’t wait to read the sequel especially since it’s about Eric! Also looking forward to reading this author’s other books! Great writing, author!
Excellent read!
I love this book!!! Of all the love stories, Aeryn and Storm are my favorite. Naomi D is an amazing author who will take you on an emotional roller coaster. I have laughed, cried and gasped, sometimes it was all in one chapter. I look forward to reading her future books. You must read this series!!!
Why is chapter 31 repeated starting at chapter 36? They are the exact same until you get to chapter 43. I would like a refund for those 7 chapters 36 through 42.
Definitely enjoyed this one. It was a beautiful journey.
There's something deeply symbolic about the thefts happening here. It's not just about money — it's about stripping away everything that defines these people's status and identity. The Prime Minister's power? Gone. The Duke's wealth? Gone. Shen Shuyan's role as Empress? Stripped down to nothing but a borrowed maid's uniform. The household registration document that Shen Qingyao is modifying is probably the most important symbol in these chapters. In ancient China, your household registration wasn't just paperwork — it was your entire legal identity. Who your parents were, what your status was, where you belonged in the social hierarchy. By altering it, she's not just changing information, she's erasing herself from one world and inserting herself into another. She's becoming someone new. The fact that the Prime Minister's wife can't even perceive Shen Qingyao as her daughter is another form of symbolic emptiness. The family structure is hollow. The mother has so deeply favored one daughter that the other has become invisible — and now that invisible daughter has the power to dismantle everything. And the ruined temple where Liang Xinxin wakes up? Temples are supposed to be places of sanctuary. A RUINED temple where beggars gather is the opposite of sanctuary. It's another symbol of collapsed order, another piece of the world turned upside down.
Fun twist in the supernatural.
I love this story and very nice
