He followed her gaze, before his eyes landed on the medical tape and gauze that covered his upper calf. He was shot there, by that annoying robot no less. It was a miracle that he got home, which made him even more grateful for his partner. Throughout the night his wound caused him trouble, and even though it was closed up, the pain was still there. Aaron smiled at his sister's concern, crossing the distance between them before kneeling to her level. He ruffled her hair, making it more of a mess than it was before, and gave her a softer smile.
The carousel soon went into a slow halt, Yonna ran to them smudging her face into their bouncing chubby cheeks. She was so excited and content watching them take bigger steps to growing up.
Ulric combed through his hair and swept away the dark magic concealing cloak that had partially blocked his view.
