I had read this a while back a few years ago, honestly its just an entertaining read as long as you skip all the gaming parts. The author didn't even try to make it make sense yet it takes up like 30% of the story if not more. Quite a few parts were exaggerated but u just gotta ignore that sh*t, ultimately its a romance and thats what u read it for, just skip all the other parts and its pretty nice.

So far, this novel has been incredibly engaging, keeping me hooked from one chapter to the next. I can’t wait for the next chapter to be released. Normally, I don’t read much; I prefer watching Chinese dramas and movies. However, I decided to give this novel a try, and I was completely blown away and addicted to reading it until the end. I don’t understand why some people dislike this novel. It’s really not bad at all. If a producer ever decides to adapt this novel into a drama or movie, I’d definitely watch it. The story is well-written with compelling plots.

There are plenty of villains, lots of action, and numerous twists and turns that slowly reveal the truths, secrets, and hidden plots. The emotional connections between the characters, especially the main character (MC) and the love interest (ML), are deeply moving. I’ve found myself reaching for tissues more than once due to certain parts of the chapters.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I feel sorry for those who rated this novel poorly and left negative comments after only reading a few hundred chapters. The title of this novel is misleading, the mc is not the Emperor nor does he want to be an emperor . His a dog that's only loyal to the country and wants to be under some useless empire sage that knows only how to steal his sons girl. The novel never actually tells you that the emperor is incompetent, according to MC he's a dragon amongst men, the novel tries to say that there are mysterious reasons for why he doesn't do anything when his country is going to sh*t. But this is absurd, this is a time travel story! The country did go to sh*t in the previous timeline. No matter what his mysterious reasons are, we know it failed.
